Schilling IT is seeking to add a Systems Engineer to join our company to support our small to mid-sized partner’s IT Infrastructure across Northwest Indiana and Illinois! We support our partners remote or at their location(s).

- Provide support and escalation support with fast and excellent troubleshooting

- Contribute and update internal and external knowledge base
- Advanced management and troubleshooting of Windows
- Advanced management and troubleshooting of VoIP Systems
- Advanced management and troubleshooting of backup solutions such as Datto
- Advanced management and troubleshooting of Microsoft 365 suite (SharePoint, Teams, Entra)
- Advanced management and troubleshooting of Active Directory environments
- Advanced management and troubleshooting of VMware and Hyper-V environments
- Advanced management and troubleshooting of Sophos, Meraki and UniFi networking equipment
Project and Implementation duties:
- Excellent project planning, execution, and completion.
- Assess partner needs and develop detailed project plans with timelines and deliverables.
- Provide end user training around changes from projects
- Microsoft 365 Migrations
- Microsoft SharePoint / File Migrations
- Microsoft Entra Migrations
- Software Migrations
- VoIP Migrations
- Virtual Server Migrations
- Virtual Host Migrations
- Networking Gear Implementations
- Onboarding of Schilling IT Managed Services
- Conduct assessments of IT infrastructure and create documentation for service
- Implementations of Schilling IT Managed Services Toolset
- Implementations of Security Awareness Training Portals
- Implementations of Keeper Password Manager
- Implementations of SSO with Applications
- Update documentation of Infrastructure changes, network configurations, and project progress.
Bonus points if you have:
- Previous experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP)
- Experience with ConnectWise PSA or other professional services automation software (PSA)
- Experience with RMM platforms such as N-Able, Automate, NinjaOne, Etc.
- Experience with Azure services architecture and implementations
- Experience with VoIP phone systems such as Team’s Voice or RingCentral
- Experience with installing and supporting MacOS systems
- Experience with installing and supporting ChromeOS
- Experience with creating automations with platforms such as Rewst
- Google Workspace support and management
- Professional, Industry, and/or Vendor Certifications
Required Communication Skills:
- Proficient in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Capable of drafting business correspondence and documenting procedures.
- Skilled at presenting information clearly and addressing questions from groups of managers, clients, and the public.
Physical Prerequisites for the Position:
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
- Occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds may be required.
- Ability to perform occasional tasks involving bending, kneeling, squatting, and twisting.
- Ability to reach above shoulder height, waist level, and from the floor as needed.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to drive and sit for long periods as part of the role.
- Ability to work in an office setting, sitting at a desk for extended periods.
Salary and Benefits:
- Full-time / Hybrid
- Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000
